A TRIBUTE TO OUR ADVERTISERS
It has been a while since I talked about the people who have made it possible to pay for the excellent newsletter that Barb Popp puts together every month. We have some new advertisers that I would like to welcome to the Foxwood Farms.
First is Doing Dinner. This company makes getting a meal a snap. For $5 – 8 dollars you can pick a variety of entrees that Alice Sweigart says is enough for two or you can have two meals. The best part is they are tasty and easy to heat in the microwave. If cooking is a chore, give they a try. And if you have a taste for Chinese, remember the China Taste. We get take out there regularly and it is always good.
We have a new hairdresser, Linda Massingill who hails from Indiana. She is located in the shop near the Horse and Hounds and has special offers so you can get to know her. Of course, we also want to recognize Katy Pratt who is back again. Katy does some very attractive styles perfect for the summer weather that my cousin just loved. Finally don’t forget Deb Martelle who is highly recommended by everyone who has gone to her, Christy Hexter who does nails as well as hair, Foxwood Hair who have both a barbershop as well as cuts for women and the Carriage House is located past Ocala Palms about a half mile. All of these ladies and guys do a great job.
We have a number of people who specialize in helping you keep your homes in good shape. Dorcella cleans both inside and out and has a Senior Madness Special that might be something we can all use. Jim Bass has kept our water soft, safe and drinkable. He also does a number of handyman jobs. He is reliable and does a good job. In the park we now have three handymen offering their services. Ron Martin seems to be everywhere working on roofs, flowerbeds and power washing your home. He’s done a great job keeping our plants alive despite my brown thumb. Roscoe Reese has been a handyman in our park for a long time and was responsible for the serving bar in the Clubhouse. I know Mildred Wicks is riding around in a very wild golf cart thanks to Roscoe. Finally Bob Smith and his wife Pat have just finished the floors in Carol and Jim VanderVeldt’s home .They are gorgeous. Call any of these guys and gals when you need help.
Bankers Alliance is an insurance agency that has saved a lot of people in the park a lot of money. It your home is newer than 1982 and you are with Citizens, give them a call to see if they can save you money.
All Florida Weatherproofing and Construction not only does a great job with roofing but are certified to do free roofing inspections that are required by many of the insurance companies.
Florida Real Estate Outlet is now selling homes in our park. Give them a call if you need to sell your home.
And finally a big thank you to Scott at Oswald Aluminum who advertised with us since we took over the newsletter. We have had them add a little carport for the golf cart and it has worked so well.
