Honor our Veterans
Friday November 11th at 5:00 p.m.
It is that time of year when we feel fortunate to tell our veterans and their families how much we ap-preciated their service to our country. Myra Hernandez has created a tradition of good food, military displays, music and readings which never fails to bring some tears and some laughter. Although Myra won’t be with us this year, we are going to have this event in the Community Center. If you have memorabilia from your term of service, bring it to Linda Wood at 4839 Northwest 23rd Loop (352 xxx-xxxx) or Darlene Whitkanack at 4720 NW 19th Street between November 6th and November 9th. This will allow us to have everything displayed before dinner begins at 5:30. Bring a covered dish and your table service. We will provide drinks and a cake. There is no charge for this event, but please call Joanne Potts at xxx-xxxx and let us know how many are coming so we don’t run out of cake! Families are welcome.
We will be having our Thanksgiving Dinner on Thurs., Nov. 24th at 5:00 PM.. The menu is turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, pies and drinks. FSO will supply the table service. There will be a 50/50 drawing and door prizes
